Established in 2010, we are a locally -owned and operated pest control business based in Ballina.

Long time mates Tony Dunn & Jim Burgess, the original founders of Active Pest, had worked for other pest control companies in the area for many years. They felt there was a need for a better serving reputable pest control company that took care of the clients’ needs first, rather than pushing costly services that clients didn’t need. Both Tony & Jim’s philosophy and business culture is instilled in everybody that works with Active Pest – that is, to go over and above the expectation of the clients’ needs. When it comes to finding a reliable, reputable pest control company in the Northern Rivers, Active Pest is the go to company.

Jim has since retired and Dan Curren, who has worked for Active Pest for over five years, has filled Jim’s big shoes and is now a business partner.
